How Passion turned to profession
They say when you truly love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. I feel blessed to be the lucky few, to have found a passion that gives me the opportunity to be a part of the happiest moments in a couple/ family's lives. and be able to live it everyday as a profession.
After my international MBA and a career in marketing and advertising, both in India and USA, I discovered my love for telling stories through pictures. My tryst with the camera began with wildlife photography & took flight with pictures of my favourite muse to date, my niece. I soon realised that creating portraits with people gave me so much happiness, that I started my company Anupa Shah Photography alongside my advertising career. Soon I started photographing friends’ weddings and families, and in 2014, I decided to give up my corporate career to work full time as a wedding and lifestyle photographer.
And what a great journey it has been since then! I have met some of the sweetest couples, cutest kids and kindest families that have made me feel like I am one of their family/friends. What's even more "full circle" is when a couple I photographed at their wedding, calls me to announce their baby arrival and then years later I am capturing their moments together as a family. It feels like I am part of their family and what better joy than that?!
